Magick Occult is an esoteric realm in cyberspace which is dedicated to serving the magick, occult, wiccan, and pagan communities. My goal in creating this site was to create a free internet infrastructure which is specifically designed to accommodate individuals who practice or who wish to learn more about wicca, the occult, magick, paganism, the kabbalah, alchemy, witchcraft, the tarot, and astrology as well as any other esoteric discipline you can think of. What you can think of is a very important part of how this site works by the way because I can’t think of everything by myself; I need your help. This is why I have included as part of this site the Magick Occult forum. It is there that the users of this site are given a voice. The purpose of the Magick Occult forum is two fold. On one hand it will allow me to learn from all of you. This will help me come up with ideas on how to improve this site and better serve the magick, occult, wiccan, and pagan communities. On the other hand it will allow all of you to learn from each other thereby providing a volume and variety of information that simply could not be provided by one person alone. Other sections of this site include a library, chat room, video section, and automated tarot card reader which uses ordinary playing cards as tarot cards, (highly appropriate since tarot cards are the ancestors of today’s playing cards). The library is filled with books that are in the neighborhood of roughly one hundred years old. Their old age serves two purposes the first of which is that they are all in the public domain which is why I can display them in their entirety without being in violation of any copyright laws. The second is that when it comes to subjects such as occultism and magick, the books in question are like a fine wine; they get better with age. Most of these books were written during the time of the French Occult Revival when many excellent books in all areas of occultism were written. These books are the basis of many of the books on magick and the occult written today. In the chat room you can talk to others of a like mind in real time. In the video section I share with you some videos which I consider to be of great importance. These videos stretch the idea of what most people consider to be occult related in that the word occult simply means secret or hidden and I therefore include these videos in this site because they contain information that is for the most part unknown to the general public. In other words they contain occult knowledge but not necessarily magickal knowledge. I’ve been fascinated with magick and the occult since childhood. It started with an interest in psychic abilities. From there I went on to develop an interest in witchcraft, magick, and pretty much anything to do with the occult. This of course was prior to the onset of the information age and therefore I was limited to the pathetic selection of books on magick, witchcraft, occultism, and psychic powers offered by my local library and book stores. Most of these were written by people who were not part of any esoteric community or belief system, but rather by people who were, “scholars” and were writing from the mentality of, “lets take a look at these primitive superstitions that people use to believe in before science came along.” I spent years weeding through the garbage to get to the rare diamonds in the rough that were written by people who where actually practicing what they were writing about. I would purchase these whenever I found them. At one point in my teen years I had a large suitcase filled with hard to find books that had taken me years to collect. Unfortunately these were taken from me and I never got them back. These were how-to books. They showed me how to cast spells and showed me that not only could I write my own spells, but also that it was more effective to do so. They showed me how anyone could develop psychic abilities by doing certain mental exercises. There was a whole wide range of things that I learned from these books. Luckily I had already read them all before they where taken from me and although I didn’t retain every detail of every book, I did retain the important main ideas that they all share. These general concepts are what truly make magick work. What you see, all the symbols and rituals and magick words, mean absolutely nothing. The magick is not in these things. The magick is in YOU. Remember this: YOU ARE MAGICK. All those things that you see used in magickal, occult, and pagan workings are for one reason and one reason only…focus. These things help the person engaged in a magickal working focus on the magick. More focus means better results. Another thing I learned is that the magick spell you cast needs fuel. The fuel in question is EMOTION. Emotionally charged magickal undertakings that are well focused get results. There is more that goes into it but these are a couple of the most important things. The best way to learn is to go through the library on this site yourself and then go to the Magick Occult forum and share what you’ve learned and learn from others who have read the same books but may have looked at them from a different perspective. The most important thing is that you enjoy yourself while learning all that you can and maybe make a few new friends in the process. Welcome to Magick Occult!
